you are what you eat
My healthy food journey began a long time ago, even before i qualified as a dietician. Ive always been interested in food and nutrition. Food occupies such a central, complex part of our lives. When we celebrate, mourn, travel, explore and basically live, we are surrounded by food. Its got to taste good, look good and help us feel good! But my REAL food journey began when i became a Mom. Suddenly, I had to cook, clean, play, bath, nappy change all in a limited amount of time.
When it comes to understanding a busy life, no one gets it better than me. And spending time in the kitchen has become a very rushed task, we have to oversee homework, organise and cook all at the same time. Being a dietician, Mom and Wife, i have to make sure that my meals are quick, delicious and nutritious! Not to say we do not eat ‘junk’ food, but its just not something i prefer to do often.
So this is my ‘cooking class healthy’ journey. I will share tips, photos, recipes and ideas with you on how to prepare tasty, fast, easy nutritious meals. I would love to hear your comments and recipes too so please feel free to comment and share!
