Egg cups with Toast Fingers



Do you have a picky eater and battle to get anything into your kids tummy? This is a fun and healthy breakfast idea. I was introduced to it recently by a friend, and my girls loved it!! I did not have egg cups so i used the cups from my daughters tea set, they found to very amusing!

Fill a Pot half way up with boiling water and place on the stove on medium high heat. Once the water is boiling, gently place the eggs in (use a ladle to avoid the eggs from cracking). Set your egg timer and let the eggs cook for 3 1/2 minutes. The white will be cooked and the yolk runny.

As i have done, let the eggs cool slightly and take off the top quarter of the shell and white. Let your kids dip their toast (breadsticks will even do) into the yolk and eat. Its very easy and fun!

Letting them use their finger to break off the rest if the shell to eat the white is a good way to improve fine motor coordination. Once done, let them scatter the egg shells in your garden as they precent snails from eating up all your garden goodies!
